The Construction Institute organizes and delivers trainings to civil engineers to become BDUA experts, that can be mobilized to conduct assessment in the field in the aftermath of an earthquake.
Who can become an BDUA expert?
Although the technical manual and training are necessary to set up a unified approach filling the form and understanding of the methodology, the key component for an accurate building assessment is the know-how and experience of experts, who during a visual inspection must be able to read, interpret and classify damage and based on that, determine whether the building can be used or not.
